Bits In Glass recognized as a Best Workplace in Canada, for the second year in a row
Edmonton, AB – April 15, 2021 – Bits In Glass, a software consulting firm helping companies digitally transform their operations, is proud to announce its been named in the 2021 list of Best Workplaces in Canada for the second year in a row, as part of the Great Place to Work program.
As the global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work determines the Best Workplaces based on direct feedback from surveying employees. The 2021 winners in Canada have risen to tremendous challenges in amazing ways by putting their people first. These organizations have the highest levels of trust, the most inclusive cultures in the country, and have seized the opportunity to connect in new ways and care for their people.
Over the past year, through the COVID-19 pandemic, Bits In Glass mobilized a more rigorous and consistent communications cadence from upper management. This featured bi-weekly virtual town hall style updates and CEO update videos sent to all employees. And in addition to improved internal communications, the HR team organized ongoing engagement activities to bring employees together. This has included cooking competitions, virtual escape rooms, a holiday desk decorating competition, weekly virtual happy hours, lunchtime Netflix movie parties, and much more.
“Putting our people first has always been our top priority,” says Patrick Golec, Founding Partner and Vice President of Human Resources for Bits In Glass. “We’re honoured to be recognized as a Best Workplace in Canada for the initiatives we’ve taken on over the past year, many of which we’ll be continuing long after COVID-19 to ensure our team is always informed, supported, and appreciated.”
To be eligible as a Best Workplace in Canada, organizations must be certified as a Great Place to Work within the past year with over 70% or more positive responses in the annual survey.
